The Post Construction Cleaning Process
Step-by-step phased cleaning is the key to both quality and getting compliance-ready results efficiently. Each of the three phases are designed to achieve a safe and thorough cleaning of all areas and surfaces. Rough cleaning and light cleaning must be done right so you can deliver a perfect final result during the final cleaning phase. This is also why construction cleaning is very different from regular commercial cleaning services.
Phase 1: Rough Clean
The first phase focuses on removing larger debris and preparing the space before detailed work begins. Our teams work efficiently to clear the environment and establish a clean baseline.
Services included:
Debris and trash removal: Collect and remove all large construction debris, including scrap wood, drywall, and leftover materials.
Safely dispose of any remaining hazardous materials, like paint cans or chemicals, according to local regulations.
Initial sweep: Sweeping and vacuuming floors to remove the bulk of dirt, debris, and dust.
Label and film removal: Taking off protective plastic coverings and stickers from windows, doors, and appliances.
Empty all trash and recycling bins.
Use a scraper or putty knife to remove excess caulk, grout, or paint drops from floors and surfaces.
Wipe down exposed pipes and ductwork.
Give the area an initial wipe-down to knock down the main layer of dust.
Phase 2: Detail /Deep Clean
This is the most intensive and detailed cleaning phase, which happens after all construction is finished but before the property is occupied. Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. Includes fixtures, windows, baseboards, trim, and frames for a detailed finish.
High and low dusting: Cleaning all surfaces, from ceiling fans and light fixtures to walls, baseboards, and window tracks.
Deep cleaning of kitchen and bathrooms: Wiping and sanitizing all surfaces, including countertops, sinks, backsplashes, and fixtures.
Cleaning the inside and outside of cabinets and drawers.
Scrubbing and disinfecting toilets, showers, and tubs.
Cleaning and polishing hardware and mirrors.
Wall and surface wiping: Removing all smudges, scuff marks, and paint splatters from walls, door frames, and trim.
Window cleaning: Washing all interior windows, including the frames, sills, and tracks, to achieve a streak-free finish.
Floor care: Thoroughly vacuuming carpets with a HEPA filter to capture fine dust and mopping or polishing hard floors.
Phase 3: Touch-Up/Final Clean
Touch-up cleaning -The "White Glove" walkthrough for handover.
- Light dusting: A final wipe-down of all surfaces to remove any dust that may have settled since the detail clean.
- Spot cleaning: Removing any new smudges, fingerprints or marks on glass, mirrors, or other surfaces
- Floor touch-ups: Re-vacuuming or mopping high-traffic areas if necessary.
- Final checks: to ensure every corner meets our high standards
