The Post Construction Cleaning Process
Step-by-step phased cleaning is the key to both quality and getting compliance-ready results efficiently. Each of the three phases are designed to achieve a safe and thorough cleaning of all areas and surfaces. Rough cleaning and light cleaning must be done right so we can deliver a perfect final result during the final cleaning phase. This is also why construction cleaning is very different from regular commercial cleaning services.
Phase 1: Rough Clean
The rough clean removes general construction debris and establishes a workable baseline for the detailed cleaning phases that follow.
Typical scope may include:
- Collecting approved construction debris and jobsite trash
- Sweeping and vacuuming loose dirt, dust, and debris
- Removing accessible protective film, labels, and stickers
- Emptying designated trash and recycling containers
- Removing approved excess caulk, grout, or paint residue
- Wiping exposed pipes, accessible ductwork, and surfaces
- Completing an initial dust-removal pass
Debris hauling and regulated-material disposal are quoted separately and subject to project conditions. Hazardous or regulated materials are not handled unless specifically authorized and legally permitted.
Phase 2: Detail /Deep Clean
Once construction activity is substantially complete, we perform the most comprehensive cleaning phase. This stage prepares finished surfaces and interior spaces for inspection and presentation.
Typical scope may include:
HIGH AND LOW DUST REMOVAL
Dusting accessible light fixtures, ceiling fans, walls, ledges, baseboards, trim, window tracks, and other finished surfaces.
KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS
Cleaning countertops, sinks, backsplashes, fixtures, cabinets, drawers, toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, and hardware as included in the approved scope.
FINISH SURFACES
Removing approved smudges, scuffs, fingerprints, labels, and construction residue from doors, frames, trim, cabinetry, and other finished surfaces.
INTERIOR WINDOWS
Cleaning interior glass, frames, sills, and tracks for a clear, streak-free presentation.
FLOOR CARE
HEPA-filter vacuuming of carpets and appropriate cleaning of hard-surface flooring based on manufacturer and project requirements.
PHASE 3: FINAL TOUCH-UP
The final touch-up addresses dust and marks that may appear after the detail clean and prepares the property for walkthrough or handover.
Typical scope may include:
- Final light dusting of accessible surfaces
- Removal of new fingerprints, smudges, and marks
- Touch-up vacuuming or mopping in high-traffic areas
- Final inspection against the approved checklist
- Walkthrough with the designated project representative
OPTIONAL SERVICES
The following services are available for an additional fee and must be included in the approved project scope:
- Construction debris hauling
- Carpet cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Exterior window cleaning for one- and two-story structures
- Garage cleaning
- Exterior perimeter cleanup
Availability and pricing depend on project location, site conditions, access, volume, and disposal requirements. Hazardous or regulated materials are excluded unless specifically approved in writing and handled in accordance with applicable requirements.
